I will call this story, "The Kohls Story". Just in case I need to reference it at a later time.
So Matt, Hudson, and I are on a family outing for the day. Matt needed to go to Kohls to get a couple shirts for work. We shop, pay, and walk out the door. As we head to the car, Matt is reading the receipt and it flies out of his hands. If you dont know...Matt is clumsy. God love him.
Anyways, as the receipt flies out of his hands, he LETS GO OF THE STROLLER to chase after the receipt. I look up from my phone to see my sweet baby's stroller rolling to the left, and my husband is off chasing the receipt to my right!
I yell, "Matthew Seagraves!!" and I am now chasing after the stroller across the parking lot. He realized what just happened, and we both just died laughing.
The whole scene was watched by a lady in her car, she rolled down the window, laughed, and said, "he must be a new daddy!"
So this is what I learned from that parent fail...
1. Matt cannot read receipts while pushing the stroller
2. It is very obvious to onlookers that we are first time parents
While I realize that "what could have happened" is NOT funny... It was pretty dang funny.
Love,
J and H
